The house from Walderton

This House from Walderton in Sussex was offered to the Museum in 1979, when it was about to be demolished.Constructed of flint and brick, this building appears externally to be of 17th-century date. In fact it contains the remains of a medieval timber-framed building with an open hall. The living room at the east end of the building has been furnished in 17th-century style. The middle room of the house has been designed to show the transition from a medieval to a 17th-century dwelling.
