The site Home Page logo has been changed to a photo montage depicting London and UK attractions.
Due to the increasing number of attractions grouped together under "London and the South", I have now split these into two separate areas namely "London" and the "South of England". This should also assist visitors to locate their particular area of interest, especially visitors to London.
A short slideshow has been added to each main area index page to show a selection of small photo's. This adds a little movement to the page without increasing the download time..

A new facility has been added for visitors to send free E-cards to friends, complete with a photograph selected from those displayed on this site. This is in addition to the Wallpaper and Screensaver that were added earlier. Both facilities are accessible from the Home Page links.
Additional Photographs have been added to Hever Castle following a further visit in May.
A page on Borde Hill in West Sussex has been added.
A page on Brighton in Sussex has been added.
Also the site navigation links have been restyled.
Following a further visit additional views of Eltham Palace have been added to the page. Especially as there is so much to see inside and out, at this unique attraction.

I have updated my collection of Wallpaper images and created a new screensaver slideshow for 2004. These can be viewed at "free Wallpapers & Screensaver".
My page covering Upper & Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds, has been updated with some new and improved photographs. Views of the Model Village at Bourton-on-the-Water and others, have been added to the Bourton page. A new page on the important market town of Stow-on-the-Wold.
Additional pictures added to the Eltham Palace page.
To complete my new additions to the Cotswolds, I have added a page on Ragley Hall and also a page on the Jephson Gardens in Leamington Spa.

Two new pages have been added to the South of England section of this site. These are Arundel Castle near Chichester in West Sussex and Down House Charles Darwin's home in Kent.
Also a return visit to add additional photographs to the page on Chartwell, Churchills home in Kent.
A new page has been added on Crystal Palace Park, which is local to me and is undergoing restoration. Also an addition to the Sheffield Park page Autumn Colours in 2004.

I have added a new viewing gallery featuring my Favourite Places-to-Go Landscapes. The images are also contained elsewhere on this site but are brought together in this Gallery for easy viewing.
After a long winter an early visit to Eltham Palace to try out my new Panasonic 8MP camera. View the updated images of the palace interior and South Moat Bridge etc.
A further visit to Hever Castle to view the latest displays of spring flowers, a new page has been added.
Areturn to Kew Gardens in spring 2006 complete with new camera, to capture some quality photo's.

Now that spring has returned, I am able to revisit my favourite locations starting with some new photographs of Eltham Palace in London SE9.
Also another return visit to restored Ightham Mote in Kent and some vibrant spring colour at nearby Hever Castle.
A return visit to the legendary spring colour of Leonardslee Gardens and a major update to the web page. Some news and images from Wisley Gardens.
A visit in May to view the late spring vista from the Bastion at Scotney Castle Garden.
Following a repeat visit to Canterbury, I have added a section on the underground Roman Museum.
June and July 2007
A return visit to HMS Belfast moored on the Thames near London Bridge, to take more photographs. A visit to St. James's Park in London to photograph the summer bedding displays.
August and September 2007
As the summer of 2007 has been a washout, we visited more places in London where we could keep our feet dry. I hope you find them interesting.
A tour around Canary Wharf with a visit to the Motorexpo car show. A tour around the Swedish Gotheborg ship reconstruction while on a visit to Docklands. A visit to the newly opened Household Cavalry Museum located in Horseguards. A tour round the unusual Chelsea Physic Garden, with its collections of medicinal plants. The London aquarium in the basement of old County Hall by the Thames. A return visit to the iconic London Eye with its fabulous views over london.
An interesting new addition to the South of England section is the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum with its collection of historic buildings, farm equipment and rare breeds.
Some new photographs taken during my annual autumn visit to Sheffield Park Garden.
A late visit to London to see the refurbished London Transport Museum at Covent Garden and onwards to view the also recently refurbished St. Pancras International Railway station.
A visit to Canary Wharf to oggle the luxury cars on display at "Motorexpo 2008"and a return to Hever Castle in Kent to view the Rose Garden at its best.
Cotswold Holiday September 2008
We visited several new attractions as well as some old favourites during a short holiday based at Stratford-upon-Avon. The Cotswold Motoring Museum is an attraction that we had missed on previous visits so we have now corrected this omission. No visit to the Cotswolds would be complete without calling in again to view the Slaughter Villages.
A visit to a new historic Cotswold Garden Bourton House in the village of Bourton on the Hill. Next our attention transferred to birds with an entertaining visit to The Cotswold Falconry Centre. Another new garden to visit was Kiftsgate Court at Chipping Campden. A tour of Holy Trinity Church Stratford containing Shakespear's grave. Finally a return visit to National Trust Hidcote Manor Garden.
The gallery showing my Favourite Landscapes has been updated to include many new photo's taken during 2008, I hope that you enjoy them.
A summer visit to London to view the extraordinary Kensington Roof Gardens above what was Derry and Toms department store.
We enjoyed two holidays in the Cotswolds in 2009 and managed to find yet more places to visit as follows:-
Kenilworth Castle, Sezincote House and Gardens, Snowshill Manor, Baddesley Clinton, Packwood House and Hailes Abbey. I hope my pictures and descriptions encourage you to visit as well.
We had two short breaks in the Cotswolds in 2010 one centered in Cheltenham and the other in our usual Stratford-upon-Avon.
New attractions visited included Chastleton House, Prinknash Park and The Holst Museum in Celtenham. We also returned to Warwick Castle.
During a Cotswold holiday in late March, we revisited the Cotswold Farm Park to see the lambing, also Charlecote park and the new RSC Theatre at Stratford. Plus a first time visit to the picturesque village of Welford-on-Avon.
Later in July we had a weeks break in the Peak district at bakewell and visited several new attractions. Bolsover Castle, Bidulph Grange Gardens, Quarry Bank Mill and Hardewick Hall.
You will notice that I have included a quick selection feature on these new pages following a comment on over-use of the "Back Button". Unfortunately it will not be possible to include this feature retrospectively as the volume of phtographs is now far to great. But perhaps on all new additions.
In september we made a return visit to Canterbury and made an excursion to Dover Castle as well as the city attractions of Westgate Gardens and historical Eastbridge Hospital
I have at last found time to update the desktop Wallpapers collection not touched since 2008. Also to keep up with the times a Windows 7 Theme for Places-to-Go has been added.
I have created a new section covering Holidays in other areas of the UK, starting with Norfolk. This includes Kings Lynn, Gooderstone Gardens, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Royal Sandringham. Also Somerset which includes visits to Glastonbury, Wells, Barrington Court, Lytes Cary Manor and Tintinhull Garden.
I have added a new section in Holidays covering my first break in Salisbury Wiltshire and visits to local historical sites, including Stonehenge and the celebrated Salisbury Cathedral., also I have updated my Favorite Landscapes Gallery.
I have added updates to cover holidays to the Cotswolds and Salisbury in 2014, including visits to Lacock Village and Wilton House in Wiltshire.
